Premier performance Saturday 28 Feb 2009, 8PM OC Pavilion, Santa Ana, CA… THE WHO SHOW, the world’s premier The Who tribute band, presents THE TOMMY CONCERT EXPERIENCE, a live performance recreation of the classic 1969 rock album TOMMY. This concert features the band along with additional musicians and singers, meticulously reproducing the rock opera TOMMY (including the hits PINBALL WIZARD, IM FREE and WE’RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT) as recorded by Pete Townshend and The Who. More an oratorio than an opera, this is not the Broadway theatrical musical production, but the original sound, production and arrangements of the classic rock album TOMMY. The concert also includes performances of all of The Who’s hits, including MY GENERATION, SUBSTITUTE, CAN’T EXPLAIN, MILES AND MILES, BABA O’REILLY, WON’T GET FOOLED AGAIN, BEHIND BLUE EYES, WHO ARE YOU and a mini-QUADROPHENIA set including THE REAL ME and LOVE REIGN O’ER ME.
